Youth+Sport (J+S) is the Confederation's sports promotion programme. If you run a camp with a sports programme and meet the conditions, you receive a contribution per participant per camp day. GroupsCAMP checks the requirements, keeps track of the deadlines and has the documents ready.
The contribution is not tied to membership. It is equally open to schools, clubs and youth organisations, provided the camp is run under the J+S rules.
per participant per camp day for camps with an overnight stay away from home.
As of 2026per participant per camp day for camps without an overnight stay.
As of 2026Ski camp from Monday to Friday with 20 pupils: the arrival and departure days usually count together as one day, leaving 4 eligible camp days.
20 × 4 × CHF 16.– = CHF 1'280.–, around CHF 64.– per child.
The conditions are manageable; keeping track of them is not. GroupsCAMP records the status while you plan — not only once the deadline has already passed.
Number of participants, age by year of birth, camp length and the leaders' recognitions are checked continuously against the conditions. Anything still missing appears as an open item — stating how much is missing.
The same card tracks the deadlines: registration, J+S loan equipment, national maps and the final accounts each have their own dates. GroupsCAMP reminds you before any of them expires.
From the number of participants, camp length and type of accommodation, GroupsCAMP calculates the contribution and shows how much cheaper the camp becomes per child. The amount is an estimate — the canton sets the final figure.
What you plan anyway — daily schedule, sports sessions, times — you export in the format of the official J+S template. No second round of data entry for the form.
Both are in progress and not yet available.
Registration and final accounts remain with the J+S coach and the J+S leaders of your school or club, in the National Sports Database. GroupsCAMP makes sure everything needed is ready: requirements checked, deadlines tracked, documents prepared.
Class camps, ski camps and sports weeks can qualify for J+S contributions — compulsory camps during term time as well as camps in the holidays. Registration is via the J+S coach of the school or municipality.
For a ski camp from Monday to Friday with 20 pupils, that comes to around CHF 1'280.– for the class.
Training camps and club camps are covered by the same funding. Registration is via the J+S coach of the club or association.
The conditions are the same: at least 12 participants of J+S age, at least 4 consecutive camp days, at least 4 hours of sport a day.
Yes. School camps during term time and camps in the holidays can both be supported, provided they are run under the J+S rules. What counts is the sports programme, not the timing.
The J+S coach is the person who registers activities in the National Sports Database, enters the leaders and submits the final accounts. Many schools, municipalities and clubs have such a person. Whether that is the case for you, the school management or the club committee will know; the role can be set up through the cantonal sports office.
Without at least two leaders with valid recognition, there is no contribution. Training is provided through the cantonal sports offices and the associations. Anyone who has recognition also has to keep it up to date. The detailed conditions are on jugendundsport.ch.
No. Sport has to be part of the programme: at least two sessions a day in different half-days, totalling at least four hours. A class camp with skiing, swimming or hiking meets this without becoming a pure sports camp.
It counts towards the minimum duration. For the contribution, the arrival and departure days usually count together as one day, because less than four hours of sport take place on each of them. A week from Monday to Friday therefore gives four eligible camp days.
After the camp's final accounts. First, 80 per cent is paid out; the rest follows at the beginning of the following year. The canton sets the final amount.
Yes. Training camps and club camps are supported under the same conditions as school camps. Registration is via the J+S coach of the club or association.
